Baby Landon and Baby Luke

One of my best friends, Tricia had her second son this week and I had the pleasure of getting to meet him at the hospital just like I did his big brother 3 years ago!! He is super cute and Mommy and baby are doing great! The first pic is of Landon and I and the second is Luke and I 3 years ago.

Baby Showers!!!

Eric and I were lucky enough to have such great family and friends that we had 5 Baby Showers!!! Eric's family threw us one in Milledgeville, My mom's best friend hosted one at her shop, Tricia, Tammy, Catherine, and Carolyn had a baby shower right out of People magazine at Tricia's, Eric's office threw a "man shower" and we had a couple's Luau given to us by my cousins.

All the showers were so much fun and everyone put so much planning into them. We are so grateful for the fun parties and also for all the gifts people gave us for Addison. Now she just needs to get here!!!

38 Weeks

So any day now our little girl could make her grand debut. Mommy is hoping for sooner than later. Not only because I want to meet her but I am pretty sure me and a penguin could pass for twins at this point. Not only because of how I walk but because of this big belly!! The other photo is from our awesome Luau that my cousins threw for us last weekend. It was so much fun!!

Learning to sew!!!

So one of my best friends, Misty M., inspired me to learn how to sew. Seeing how I have been off work for 6 months now, I figured I could use a new hobby. Once I finally learned how to thread the machine it really wasn't that hard. Now I'm not going to be sewing dresses and curtains any time soon- but I have made several burp cloths, taggy blankets and last night I made Addison a full size blanket!

When my husband saw the blanket he looked at and said, "What is on it?" I replied, "Strawberry Shortcake." Now most of you know my childhood love of Strawberry Shortcake and can safely assume my daughter has lots of Strawberry stuff already. Anyway, he then says, "Why couldn't it have been turtles or frogs? You know dear one day she is going to look at you and say "Mom I really hate that red-headed freak!"

My husband always on hand with the witty comments...

Nursery is complete!

Last night we put the finishing touches on Addison's nursery. I think it turned out pretty great! Now we just have to bring her home! I'm also excited about the bow holder and the laundry basket I did them both myself! I painted the bow holder and added all the ribbon and I sewed the chenille and ribbon on the laundry basket to make it match her room better. I would also like to recognize my husband for fulfilling his 8 1/2 month pregnant wife's request to hang things on the wall at 10 PM last night so the nursery could be complete.

I included some photos from my cousin's wedding at the beach- and no that is not a pumpkin on my shoulders it is indeed my face with has become increasingly round as the months pass.

Yes, I am nuts. My child is not out of the womb yet and I have already purchased the outfit she will wear her first day at the Magic Kingdom. I have been looking forward to taking my child to Disney World since I worked there in college and could not pass this outfit up when I saw it on EBAY. It is seriously one of the cutest things I have ever seen and I can't wait to see her walk down Main Street in this dress when we take her in a couple of years.

And lastly, how cute it my husband at his office baby shower...he is so excited about that pink blanket! Ha ha!!

Getting Close!!

We have had a fun last few weeks. For Memorial Day weekend we split our time between families in Milledgeville and Atlanta. In Atlanta we went to my cousin's lake house and had a really fun relaxing time. We have been busy getting the house ready for Addison's arrival and are almost done. I have just over 4 weeks to go and am getting anxious about the birth but am excited for the end result ;) I have also enjoyed not having to work these past few months!!

We also went on our hospital tour and what a tour it was...we felt like we were on hidden camera with the questions some people were asking. My thoughts are in italics.

See the following:

-Can I leave before the 24 hour mark? Really??? No one is giving out overachiever awards relax and enjoy the help!!
-Can I bring my own bottle of water? Nope, you can only drink the hosptial water because it has kryptonite in it and will give you special powers.
-Is there Wifi because I need to get some work done. WHAT??? You are having a baby take the day off for goodness sakes are you going to answer emails and close that Tokyo deal while your wife is pushing out the baby??
-Do you take a family photo and put it in the bassinet so the babies don't get mixed up? Yes, this is not a hospital it is in fact Olan Mills and a photographer will be with you following the birth.

Good times!
